FAQs on Memorial (Funeral) Photography

How will we receive our photos?
You will receive digital files either from a direct download link sent to you through email or on a USB flash drive mailed to your home or work address. If you have a preference, do let me know.

Can you do a photoshoot in a cemetery?
Yes I sure can. The burial component of a funeral service can often be just as important to a family as the funeral mass itself.

What is Memorial Photography?
Creating a forever keepsake of the day of a familys funeral service of a departed loved one.

Is it normal to photography a funeral?
Yes it is completely normal. A funeral service is often of significant importance to a family and the day of the service often goes by so quickly. By having a professional photographer capture the day, it gives the family a forever keepsake of the moments that they may not have noticed in real time.

How many pictures are in a memorial slideshow?
This varies from family to family. Some slideshows may only have 20 images while others may have as many as 500-600. It all comes down to personal preference.

How do I go about booking a session with you?
Send me an email.
Call or text: 403-383-0889

For the most reliable source, I suggest touching base with me via email, text or phone. Once you choose a date, you will need to pay your specified booking fee deposit.

I will email you an invoice through Square (Visa/Mastercard) or you can send an email money transfer to payments@stevenquon.com. Your booking fee deposit is credited 100% towards your funeral service.

DARN! Something came up and I need to reschedule. How do I go about this?
If you decide to CANCEL services for what ever reason, please provide me with at least 48 HOURS notice, anything less and the booking fee deposit is non-refundable. No exceptions.

Should you need to RESCHEDUE, you may RESCHEDULE your appointment any time window to another date that is more convenient for you. Please provide me with as much notice as possible.

Why do I have a booking fee?
The purpose of my booking fee is to give me a sense of the number of serious inquiries that I receive and also to cover my time and mileage if I was to drive out to a location and have it be a no-show or a very last minute cancellation. It also makes it fair to new and existing families wanting to book dates with me and not having them miss out due to cancelled or re-scheduled bookings.

My assistant’s time is just as valuable as mine is. I like to provide them with as much notice as I can when scheduling for their time, this includes cancellations and re-scheduled appointments.
