Many people desire to improve their skills behind the camera, but few have the motivation and ambition to do so. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻, and nearly always comes from endless hours of practice and learning.
The three main reasons people give up learning are self-doubt, lack of proper direction, and lack of confidence.
𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝘁: Self-doubt often sounds like “I could never be as great as so-and-so, why even bother.” Questioning one’s ability and potential before even beginning to try to achieve something never lands productive results.
𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: A trusted mentor can go a long way with guiding people in their practice and helping them break down the necessary skills into manageable and not overwhelming lessons.
𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Never believing in oneself tends to destroy inspiration before it even begins.
Sometimes we have other reasons for not being able to pursue progress in our learning; however, where there is a will there is usually a way to make it happen. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻.
