NICK SHARES HIS JOURNEY EXPERIENCE

Meet Nick, one of my students that I've been mentoring over the past six months. Nick has a passion for filmmaking and he's been one of my two guys shooting me on camera.

I decided to put him on camera for the very first time in his life and give him two minutes to share his thoughts on what his journey has been like working with me.

It just so happens that him and his wife love horses and since arriving in Canada from the Ukraine, they haven't been around horses very much. They would like to get in on riding lessons and trail rides come Spring and Summer. I told Nick and his wife that I would get them connected.

I'm not afraid to admit that I have a tendency to talk too much when on camera. But when you do what you love and teach from your knowledge of expertise, talking too much on camera is not at all an uncommon problem to have. In fact it's a good sign as it's always better to have something to say than nothing to say, as long as what you say is of high value to your audience.

As I'm sure many of you would agree with me in that when you tell stories from not just your passion for horses in life but where your specialty is (whether it's a specific discipline, type of breed of horses, horse care, etc), you have a natural tendency to just keep the conversation going.

This is one take, one location finishing up the filming for my upcoming eLearning mini-course that will be catered to everyone, as it's worked with one device that we all have in our pockets - our smartphone.

I'm about to begin working on an exciting 4 step video project right away here. I need one individual who like to be my model for this video. You must enjoy riding, have a horse to ride and a place to ride at. Preferably not too far outside of Calgary but I am open to suggestions. Western or English, doesn't matter.
